Medi-Cal Statistics

RAND California Medi-Cal Eligibility Statistics report the number of persons eligible by gender, ethnicity, age, language, and associate program participation. Due to the implementation of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) in April 2003 by the California Department of Health Services, county and five-digit zip code data is no longer released. This database is now searchable at the three-digit zip code level. The source is the California Department of Health Services.

See Medi-Cal programs and definitions for additional background information. See also eligibility by managed care programs and archived Medi-Cal data for 1992-2002.
